Shower Faucets for a Personal Moment of Relaxation

The shower has long ago become much more than a purely utilitarian location: The atmosphere in the bathroom is now one of relaxation and general well-being. To complete this atmosphere, the functions of a shower faucet and its design need to work together in perfect harmony.
Do you prefer a thermostatic shower or a single-lever mixer shower? Is an exposed or concealed faucet better suited to the bathroom in question and the existing connections? Do you prefer a classic chrome finish or do you want to create some contrast with a black shower faucet? You will find the right shower faucet for every bathroom in our Duravit range – and the choice is yours.

Installation Methods for Shower Faucets

Depending on how the bathroom will be designed and which existing connections are present, you can choose between two different shower faucet versions:

Shower Faucets | Duravit (10)

1. Shower faucet: Exposed

With an exposed shower faucet the faucet and the shower connection are installed on the wall. This classic installation method is a particularly suitable solution for renovations since the bathroom faucet can easily be replaced on the existing hot and cold water connections.

2. Shower faucet: Concealed

With a concealed faucet all of the components except for the controls are inside the wall. The advantage of this is that there aren't any protruding parts so it saves a lot of space in the shower and is easy to clean. These shower faucets make a statement thanks to the concealed installation, giving them a minimalist and reserved look.

Tip: Duravit shower systems are also an ideal solution for bathroom renovations. Ordering a shower faucet as a complete set will ensure you have everything you need for your shower: faucet, overhead shower, shower sprayer, handheld shower wand, holder and hose.

Installation tip. Bluebox® is an all-in-one solution for all Duravit concealed installations. Once in place inside the wall, this provides the basis for the concealed faucet in the shower. A wide variety of Duravit shower faucets can then be installed on it. When renovating your bathroom, the base set remains inside the wall and the related concealed shower faucet can easily be replaced.

Types of Shower Faucets: How Your Water Is Heated

The installation method is not the only distinguishing characteristic of your shower faucet, but also the way the water is heated. For this, you can choose between a shower faucet with thermostat and a shower mixer.

Thermostatic showers:

These shower faucets have the great advantage that they hold the water temperature constant and any fluctuations in the flow of water are automatically balanced out. This means you can do away with the long wait and unused water when you are trying to get the temperature just right, which is a great energy- and resource-saving feature. Thermostatic shower faucets are available with both concealed and exposed installation types.

Mixer tap for the shower:

With a single-lever shower mixer, you set the water temperature and water volume with the single control lever handle. It's easy to get the temperature just right thanks to the intuitive operation of the lever. As with thermostatic showers, you can also choose between exposed and concealed installation for your shower mixer.

  • Single lever shower mixer

Tip: In the Duravit portfolio you will find faucets for your shower that come with a diverter valve. If your shower system has more than one shower head, you can decide whether you want the water to come from overhead or from the hand shower.
